This 2-day Train-the-Trainer course will build on your existing knowledge and experience working in or coordinating confined space entry and rescue and prepare you to instruct others on safe operating procedures for work in confined spaces. This course provides a comprehensive analysis of applicable confined space legislation, and industry standards as well as the selection, set-up, and use of air monitors, ventilation equipment, personal protective equipment and access procedures into a variety of spaces. Appropriate rescue planning and rescue techniques will be introduced with an emphasis on set-up and performance of non-entry rescue by site team members. Participants in this course will gain extensive exposure to a variety of equipment used commonly in both standard confined space entry and technical rescue, in preparation to instruct workers at an awareness level to support confined space entries on their sites. Successful completion of this program will prepare participants to become an instructor or affiliate training partner of Total Rescue’s Confined Space Entry and Rescue Awareness training program.
