The Petzl Am’D is a lightweight, asymmetrical aluminium carabiner with a D shape suited to connecting devices such as descenders and positioning lanyards. Its smooth interior design and Keylock system are intended to facilitate handling.

The Am’D is offered with three locking-system options. It can also be paired with a CAPTIV bar to encourage loading along the major axis, reduce the risk of turning over, and hold the carabiner in place with the device.
