The Petzl WILLIAM is a lightweight, high-capacity asymmetric carabiner made of aluminium. Its pear shape is designed to make connecting several items easier, while the smooth interior design and Keylock system support handling.

WILLIAM is described with three locking-system options: TRIACT-LOCK and BALL-LOCK automatic systems, and the manual SCREW-LOCK system. It can be paired with a CAPTIV bar to encourage loading along the carabiner’s major axis, help limit rotation, and connect it to a device.
