The Ranpro Petro-Gard® hood in Hi-Vis Orange combines flame and arc resistance with waterproof coverage for wet working conditions. Its material uses Dupont™ Nomex® as the base with low-smoke Neoprene, at a weight of 14 oz/yd². This detachable hood provides resistance to abrasion, punctures and tearing while remaining flexible. Heat-applied StarTech® FR reflective tape supports visibility in low light, while a drawstring and toggle allow adjustment and a hook-and-loop connection attaches the hood to a Ranpro jacket.

• Both the hood material and reflective tape are 100% waterproof; vulcanized seams reinforce the construction against ripping and tearing.
• Thermal and arc values: ARC 3 rating; TPP 21.4 cal/cm²; HAF 90%; EBTAS 45 cal/cm²; ATPV 28 cal/cm².
• The fabric meets ASTM F1891-19 for arc- and flame-resistant rainwear. The hood meets CGSB 155.20-2017 for hydrocarbon flash-fire protective workwear in the FR rainwear category. Certification information also lists CSA Z462-18.
• Under CSA Z96-15, pairing the hood with hi-vis pants featuring reflective leg stripes (J160 400A) provides Class 3 Level 2 and Class 2 Level 2 configurations. Pairing it with a Class 2 Level 2 jacket (P160 041A) provides Class 3 Level 2.
