The Picador shock absorbing lanyards have been created with a patented tear tape construction which provides a consistent result when deployed. The Picador, unlike its competitors, doesn’t come with a plastic sealed wrap around the tear tape as we believe that the tear tape needs to be able to breathe and be inspected; something that isn’t possible when you have a clear wrap around it and especially an issue when it becomes wet, allowing mildew to grow underneath the wrap. We also have uniquely chosen a rope lanyard to provide extra abrasion resistance thanks to the Kernmantle construction. There are two versions available, the CSA Class E4 and the CSA Class E6 both depending on the weight of the user to provide a better MAF (maximum arrest force) for individual’s specific weight. We are not all the same and therefore need a weight specific solution that absorbs the fall the best way possible.
